Published on the occasion of a major solo exhibition at the Centro Botín in Santander, Mundo de Papel explores the work of Thomas Demand in his most ambitious book to date. This extraordinary publication makes use of sophisticated paper mechanics in the form of pop-ups to represent the eight pavilions Demand designed to be suspended in the Centro Botín, each of which replicates an urban landscape.
The volume includes a separate book of installation views of the exhibition and a newly commissioned text by Nobel laureate Mario Vargas Llosa.
